Les Bois G.L.A. Inc. was established in 1989 by Lévis Bourque, in Barraute, Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Two years later, his eldest son, Éric Bourque, joined the family business full time. A major investment in 2012 led to the acquisition of new, high-performance, state-of-the-art equipment.
Les Bois G.L.A Inc. now has over twenty employees. The mill generates economic activity that helps to maintain the local economy. Its goal is to become the benchmark in Abitibi-Témiscamingue and a major Canadian player among mining, forest and material handling companies.
All our wood products are manufactured in compliance with the Canadian Heat Treated Wood Products Certification Program (HT Program) for export to countries requiring heat treatment prior to entry and can be used to manufacture certified wood packaging in accordance with ISPM 15 Regulation of wood packaging material in international trade and CFIA Directive D-01-05, The Canadian Wood Packaging Certification Program (CWPCP).
